At the end of World War II the U.S. military launched "Operation Roll-up" to dispose of material, supplies and vehicles on Vanuatu. It has been estimated that more than 9 million tons were dumped in the ocean at "Million-Dollar Point". More than 60 years later it is one of Vanuatu's most popular dive sites.
