U.S. DUCK STAMPS In 1959 the first multi-colored duck stamp of a Labrador Retriever carrying a Mallard Drake was issued using 3 colors - blue, ocher and black. The rate also jumped to $3 in 1959. Mint issues after RW42 will be never hinged, earlier issues will be lightly-hinged.
