#3921 - 37¢ P-80 Shooting Star
The Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star, designed in secrecy and introduced in 1945, was the first jet fighter used by the U.S. Air Force. Although produced too late for service in World War II, it saw extensive use in the Korean War. Some models were capable of speeds in excess of 600 miles per hour. Scott 3921 P-80 Shooting Star
