Colonial Philippines #197 - 1897 Mint Never-Hinged Issue

The “Boy King” Alfonso XIII became King of Spain upon his birth, and is only 4 years old on this stamp! This was one of the last issues of the Philippines under Spanish colonial rule prior to the Spanish-American War. His great-grandson Felipe VI is the current King of Spain.
