Turkey # J59-62 Adrianople Surcharged - 1913 Complete Mint Set of 4

Issued in the declining years of the Ottoman Empire, stamps picturing the Mosque of Selim in recently recaptured Adrianople were overprinted for use as postage due stamps. Construction of the mosque took 85 years to complete. (Turkey #J59-62)
