Vietnam Last Monarchy Issues - Save 10% On This 1954 Mint Set of 7

Crown Prince Bao-Long, son on puppet ruler Bao-Dai and heir to the Vietnamese Nguyen dynasty, is portrayed in both native Annamite costume and Western uniform on these beautifully-engraved stamps. This distinctive set was issued just one month after the fall of Dien Bien Phu in a battle that forced France to seek an end to the fighting with Ho Chi Minh's nationalist forces and withdraw from the area. As a result, these historical issues were the last released by the country before the Geneva Accords abolished the monarchy and divided Vietnam into North and South.  Vietnam #20-26
