Daniel Chester French sculpted some of America's most iconic monuments. He completed his "Minute Man" statue at the age of 23, establishing his reputation and bringing him many important commissions. He produced a prodigious number of sculptures, but his sitting sculpture of Abraham Lincoln remains one of America's most beloved monuments and is visited by over 3.6 million people each year.
