Canada #66 1/2¢ Queen Victoria - Save $5 on this 1897 Mint Issue

After the death of her husband Prince Albert in 1861, Queen Victoria isolated herself from the public and wore a mourning veil for the remaining 40 years of her life. One of the few stamps to show an older Queen Victoria, this ½¢ issue with maple leaves in all four corners was on sale for only a year before it was replaced by a modified design with a numeral denomination (Canada #74). It is one of only 6 Canadian stamps with a ½¢ denomination. (Canada #66)
