1945 Death of Franklin D. Roosevelt Cover

On the afternoon of April 12, 1945, Franklin D. Roosevelt, less than 3 months into his historic fourth term, died at the age of 63 at his "Little White House" in Warm Springs, Georgia. He had been planning to attend the founding conference of the United Nations two weeks later. This scarce commemorative cover was postmarked late in the afternoon following the news of Roosevelt's sudden death.  Note stamps and cover cachets may vary.
