1959 Worldwide Christmas Seals - 25 Different Mint Seals

Rekindle those precious Holiday memories with this collection of 25 mint Christmas Seals from around the world! Prepared over 50 years ago by an old-time approval dealer, this mounted collection features charity seals for the 1959 Holiday season from 14 countries, including rarely-seen seals from Puerto Rico, New South Wales, Bermuda and South Africa. The tradition of including them on envelopes during the Holidays helped raise public awareness and provided funding to charities caring for those suffering from respiratory diseases like tuberculosis. Almost every seal includes the double barred cross of Lorraine, the international symbol for the fight against TB adopted in the 1920s.
