Heralding the Pan-American Exposition at Buffalo, New York, America’s first bi-colored commemoratives depicted many turn-of-the- century technological advances. Among them, the 4¢ Electric Auto stamp is the first to depict this mode of transportation. It was while attending this exposition that President McKinley was assassinated.
