Postal People - Save 33% - 1973 First Day Cover of 10

To celebrate Postal Week, on April 30, 1973, the U.S. Postal Service issued a colorful set of 10 stamps honoring the thousands of our nation's postal workers and highlighting the many tasks required to deliver a letter – from the post office counter to the final delivery.

The mint stamps featured a new innovation – descriptions were printed on the back of each stamp. Issued nationwide on the same day, the USPS prepared a large cacheted envelope for each post office to use for the strip of 10 stamps. While the cachet will be the same as shown, the first day city postmark may vary. Add this fascinating 10 1/4 x 4 1/2 inch first day cover to your collection today and save $2.50 off our regular price! (US #1489-98 FDC)
