#5542 - Drug-Free USA

Red Ribbon Week is an annual event that occurs in schools and communities across the country from October 23-31. Sponsored by the National Family Partnership, this events aids parents, teachers, businesses, and other groups in promoting awareness to the danger of drugs and preventing drug abuse. Participants in the event wear a red ribbon or other red items to show their resolve to prevent drug abuse and to honor those that have died in the battle against drugs. The Drug Free USA stamp has a graphic featuring a white star with lines of red, light blue, and blue branching from one side of each of the star’s five points implying that unity is necessary at all levels to effectively address drug abuse.
