# 548S - Buy All 3 & Save - (548-550)

The Mayflower Compact, signed by 41 men aboard the "Mayflower" before reaching Plymouth Massachusetts in December 1620, established the first basis in the new world for written laws. Half of the 102 in the colony failed to survive the first winter, but the remainder lived on and prospered. 300 Years later the U.S. honored those early Pilgrims with this 1920 issue - our First "Nameless" stamps issued without "United States or U.S. Postage" designating the country of issue!
