Sitting Bull was a Hunkpapa Lakota Sioux holy man. Sitting Bull played a major role in the Battle of the Little Bighorn, also known as Custer's Last Stand, predicting the outcome of the engagement before it even happened! After the battle, Sitting Bull emigrated to Canada until 1881, at which time he surrendered to American forces. After briefly touring with Buffalo Bill's Wild West show, Sitting Bull was killed by reservation police during an attempt to arrest him and prevent him from supporting the Ghost Dance movement.
