1904 Louisiana Purchase Expo #323-327

1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition #323-327
When President Jefferson sent envoys to France to buy New Orleans from Napoleon, little did he realize they would return with a 830,000-square-mile bargain doubling the size of the U.S. The 5 commemorative stamps celebrating the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair and centennial of the Louisiana Purchase, sold only during the seven months of the fair, are extremely scarce today.
