#3803 - 37¢ Korean War Memorial

Dedicated in 1995, the Korean War Veterans Memorial depicts American troops on patrol in a wedge formation. The memorial also includes a Pool of Remembrance and a 164-foot black granite wall etched with more than 2500 images representing those who served in the war. When the 19 statues are reflected in the wall, there appear to be 38 soldiers, representing the 38 months of the war and the 38th parallel that separated North and South Korea.
