Classic Samoa - 1895 Mint NH Surcharged Issue

One of the final issues of the Kingdom of Samoa before it was claimed by Germany as a colony, the 3d surcharge value on this 1895 never-hinged stamp was actually applied individually to each stamp by hand! (Samoa #25)
