Austria New Republic - 1919 Complete Mint Imperforate Set of 5

Following the 1918 collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Republic of German Austria was created in an attempt to unite with Germany. The union was forbidden by a treaty and in late 1919 the Austrian Republic was established. Older stamps of the Empire were overprinted with the name of this short-lived republic.
