Berlin Castles #(N391-403 - 1977-79 Mint Set of 13

Issued during the Cold War when Berlin was a divided city and West Germany operated the post office in West Berlin, this mint set of 13 stamps features some of Germany’s most famous castles, including the elaborate Neuschwanstein, built in the 19th century by King Ludwig of Bavaria. In the years since East and West Germany reunited in 1990, these Berlin stamps, issued from 1977-1979, are becoming increasingly difficult to find! (Germany Berlin #9N391-403)
