Estonian Brigitta Convent - 1936 Complete Mint Never-Hinged Set of 4

Built in the 15th century, the St. Brigitta Convent was the largest in the Estonian region of Livonia. In 1577 Ivan the Terrible invaded the region and destroyed the convent, leaving just a large gabled facade standing among the ruins. This set commemorating the 500th anniversary of the convent pictures the ruins and the seal of the convent. (Estonia #134-37)
