300 West Berlin

From the late 1940s until 1990 West Berlin survived as a free enclave deep within communist East Germany. During this Cold War period West Berlin issued a wide variety of postage stamps to reinforce its freedom and serve as a reminder of its plight as a divided city. All that changed when reunification brought an end to these unique postal issues.
