Saar Returns To Germany - 1957 Complete Mint Set of 20

On the border between France and Germany, control of Saar switched between France and Germany several times in the 20th century. A treaty returned Saar to Germany in 1957, and it issued stamps as the state of Saarland for 2 more years until reunification was complete. This set picturing German President Theodor Heuss was one of its final issues.(Saar #289-308)
