Latvia, bordering on the Baltic Sea, was forcibly annexed by the Soviet Union in 1940 following a secret deal made by Hitler and Stalin. These collections include issues from between World Wars I and II, plus modern issues that followed the collapse of the U.S.S.R. in 1991.
