Fiume Eagle Triangle - 1919 Complete Mint Never-Hinged Set of 2

After World War I this strategic port was disputed between Italy and Yugoslavia. In 1919 Italian nationalist Gabriele d’Annunzio organized legionnaires and seized this city-state. It issued interesting postage stamps until it was annexed by Italy in 1924. Today it is the Croatian city of Rijeka. This attractive triangular set includes an identifier to distinguish between the two eagle designs. Fiume P2-3
