This incredible set of aviation First Day Covers from the Marshall Islands features pictures of historic aircraft along with a description of that plane’s importance to the U.S. armed forces on the backside.  Issued in 1997, this set of 25 stamps on 5 First Day Covers includes an evolution of U.S. aircraft from the workhorse C-54 Skymaster of World War II and the early F-86 Sabre jet to the modern F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter and the futuristic B-2 flying wing.
