Pagoda Hill, Yan'an - PRC #581

Pagoda Hill in the city of Yan'an is named after a nine-story pagoda erected on the hill during that Tang Dynasty (618-907). During World War II it was one of the few buildings in the city to escape Japanese bombing. (China PRC #581)
