Daedalus, of Greek mythology, was selected for Canada's 5th airmail stamp soaring above Mount Baker in the Cascade Range of British Columbia.  According to the legend, Daedalus fashioned a pair of wings from feathers and wax to escape from imprisonment in a tower. 6¢ Daedalus (#C5)
