Postage Stamp Centennial - Argentina 1956 Mint Commemorative Sheet

Argentina's first stamps were issued by the province of Corrientes in 1856, and this large sheet, measuring nearly 6 x 7 inches, commemorates their centennial. Reproducing the design of the 1856 stamps and a portrait of Juan Pujol, Governor of Corrientes, it was issued at their Centennial Philatelic Exhibition.
