Cuba #68 King Alfonso XII - 1876 Unused Issue

At one time Cuba was one of Spain’s largest and most important possessions, and it was the focal point of the Spanish-American War in 1898. This stamp from 1876 is one of the first Cuban stamps to picture Spanish King Alfonso XII, who became King at the age of 17 and unexpectedly died in 1885, 3 days before his 28th birthday.
