Cook Is. 1628-29 Suwarrow Marine Sanctuary - 2019 Two Mint Sheets

In 1978 the island of Suwarrow was declared a national park due to its wide variety of marine and bird life. Its only permanent population is government caretakers, but it's often visited to study its precious wildlife population. The stamps on these two sheets picture birds and sea life found in this sanctuary and scientists conducting seabird surveys. (Cook Islands #1628)
