Transkei #1-4 Independence - 1976 Complete Mint Set of 4

The white minority-ruled South African government established several “Bantu Homeland” states for Black ethnic groups, with Transkei being the first. With the end of apartheid in 1994 these quasi-independent republics were reincorporated into South Africa. This first set pictures Transkei’s flag and arms, along with its first leader, Chief Kaiser Matanzima. (Transkei #1-4)
