Trinidad #2 - 1851 Mint NH Issue

Although listed in the catalogs as #2, this is the first stamp issued by the British colony of Trinidad. Picturing Britannia, the allegorical figure of Britain, this imperforate issue features the bluish-tinted paper common to early British stamps, and is in post office-fresh condition, never hinged and with original gum, remarkable for a stamp printed over 170 years ago!
