#2501 - 25¢ Assiniboine
The Assiniboine, or Hohe, are a Native American people of the Northern Great Plains. A semi-nomadic people, the Hohe generally followed the bison herds during the summer. The name of the Assiniboine tribe is derived from a word for stone. This is because the Hohe people traditionally cooked their food with heated stones! Scott 2501 Assiniboine
