Classically trained from an early age, Cole Porter would become a major Broadway songwriter in the 1920’s and 30’s. Known for his clever, suggestive lyrics, Porter’s most famous musical was Kiss Me, Kate which opened in 1948. Porter also continued composing and producing musical scores through the 1950s.
