The US Postal Service issued five Olympic Summer Games commemorative stamps to coincide with the opening ceremonies of the US gymnastics championships at the Baltimore Arena. The stamps feature five Olympic summer events: pole vault, javelin throw, sprint race, hurdle race, and discus throw. These stamps were the first ones to be designed on a personal computer.
