Country legend James Robert Wills is regarded as the “King of Western Swing”. Bob Wills actively recorded music for forty years from 1929 through 1969. In his early career he bounced around from band to band until 1935 when he formed the “Texas Playboys” with Tommy Duncan, June Whalin, Johnnie Lee Wills, and Kermit Whalin.
