Added to the Jamestown commemoratives by popular request, Pocahontas, daughter of Chief Powhatan, saved the life of John Smith who had been captured by Powhatan's tribe and sentenced to death. She was later captured by the English and married John Rolfe. This stamp shows her in contemporary attire while on a trip to England. Scott 330 Pocahontas
