Ethiopia B36-40 Red Cross - 1960 Mint Set of 5

In 1935 Ethiopia had stamps printed in Switzerland to commemorate the establishment of the Ethiopian Red Cross, but when Italy invaded the nation later that year, the unissued stamps remained in Switzerland. In 1960 the original stamps that should have been issued 25 years earlier were overprinted to commemorate the silver jubilee of the Red Cross! (Ethiopia #B36-40)
