Taiwan's 1st Stamp - 1945 Imperforate Unused Issue

The island of Formosa was occupied by Japanese forces since 1895. At the end of WWII this unissued occupation stamp was over-printed for use on the liberated island. The over-print translates “For use in Taiwan, Chinese Republic”. (China Taiwan #1)
