Transportation in landlocked, mountainous Bolivia is difficult, and in the early 1900s several major railroad lines were built to modernize the nation. Intended to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Guaqui-La Paz Railway, this rarely seen set picturing Bolivian landmarks and transportation was unissued due to political unrest in the nation.
