Historic Locomotives - Unusual 2-D Dual-Image Mint Commemorative Sheet

This 1972 lenticular 2-D sheet from Manama actually salutes two legendary locomotives, and by tilting the sheet the two images alternate. The Yoshitsune was an American-built steam engine used on the Japanese island of Hokkaido in the 1880s. This famous engine has been restored and is brought into service for special occasions. The sleek "Streamliner" was the last locomotive built for Union Pacific's high-speed passenger rail service and was in use from the 1930s to 1964. Sheet measures approx. 4" x 2".
