Great Britain #203-04 - 1925 Mint Never-Hinged Set

The British Empire Exhibition, held in the newly-developed Wembley Park, was one of the largest colonial exhibitions in its day. Initially planned for 1924, popular demand kept it open through 1925, and it attracted 27 million visitors, more than the entire population of Great Britain at the time! Great Britain issued its first commemorative stamps to be sold at the exhibition. They were reprinted in 1925 changing only the year but keeping the same denominations and colors.
