Newf # 25 5¢ Harp Seal - 1865 Used Issue

Unfamiliar with the anatomy of the Harp Seal, the designer added clawed front feet to this seal. Critics quickly picked up on this design error, and in a later design the seal's front flippers were hidden to avoid any critique of the design. (Newfoundland #25 used)
