Luxembourg # 318-20 Europa - 1956 Complete Mint Set of 3

French artist Daniel Gonzague created the first Europa common design, featuring a tower created of the letters of EUROPA surrounded by scaffolding symbolizing the rebuilding of Europe and the hope for a united economic community. Luxembourg was one of the original 6 nations that established the European Coal and Steel Community, the first attempt to create a European common market.
