#4438 - $4.90 Mackinac Bridge

Bridging the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan in 1957, the Mackinac Bridge (also known as “Big Mac” or “Mighty Mac”) stretches five miles over Lake Huron turning what used to be a lengthy trip through Wisconsin into a ten minute hop across the water. With tourism in the Mackinac area growing, a more efficient means of transportation across the Straits was deemed necessary to respond to the rising interest of the people. The Mackinac Bridge was the first structure to unite the state of Michigan. Scott 4438 Mackinac Bridge
