Virgin Is. #MR2 War Tax - 1919 Mint NH Issue

To help pay for the immense cost of Britain's involvement in World War I, a war tax was imposed on mail throughout the British Empire during the war. This 1919 issue was overprinted on stamps of King George V then in current use. (Virgin Islands #MR2)
