1933 Century of Progress U.S. Flight

Highlighting the 1933 Chicago World's Fair was a visit by the famed German airship, Graf Zeppelin on its landmark 50th Trans-Atlantic crossing. To commemorate the Exposition and flight, the U.S. Post Office issued a special 50¢ "Baby Zeppelin" stamp. Our rare, nearly 80-year-old cover features both the stamp and the Century of Progress cachet! While the cover formats may vary from those shown, all flown Zeppelin postcards or envelopes will have the official cachet and cancellation used on that flight.
