Canada #184 Odd-Perfed King George - 1931 Perf 12 x 8 Mint NH

Originally printed as a perf 8 coil stamp in 1924, unfinished sheets were set aside when the postage rate was reduced to 2¢ in 1926. In 1931 postage increased to 3¢ but new stamps were not ready, so the unfinished coil sheets were given additional perforations and sold as sheet stamps, creating this unusual perf 12x8 stamp.
