Great Britain #205-08 PUC - 1929 Mint Set of 4
Celebrating the meeting of the member nations of the Universal Postal Union in London, this is only the second set of commemoratives issued by Great Britain. King George V, an avid stamp collector, was reluctant to allow the post office to issue commemorative stamps as he felt they were undignified, but in the end he approved the designs for this issue. Britain would issue only one more commemorative set during George's reign. (Great Britain #205-08)
